About Us
Ad Astra Corporate Advisory is a boutique corporate advisory business that has spun-out of Investec’s Corporate Advisory business in Australia. Ad Astra and its predecessor businesses have operated in Australia for over 20 years, and has its origins from Wentworth Associates, a corporate advisory boutique which was acquired by Investec in 2001.
Our name comes from a Latin phrase meaning “through difficulties to the stars” and is symbolic of our journey with clients, navigating challenges to achieve their objectives. Every deal, every matter throws up challenges and the unexpected – we help guide our clients through those problems to reach their full potential.
Ad Astra continues as an affiliate of Investec with access to their global network and operates as their local partner on engagements in Australia and New Zealand.
Our Approach
Our goal is to provide bespoke corporate advisory services, providing independent strategic advice to help our clients challenge traditional ways of thinking, adapt and innovate within the new digital economy, and grow by transforming their businesses to maintain relevance in a world of disruptors.

In addition to providing traditional M&A advice, we also help our clients with developing their growth strategies whether organic or via acquisitions, and we combine M&A execution with high value strategy work.
We take a similar objective and independent approach to capital advisory work – typically advising high growth companies to identify the best pools of capital to suit their needs and then to ensure they can access those pools most effectively and efficiently.
While we are sector agnostic, we work extensively with high growth and technology businesses as well as with Governments and regulated sectors. We also have a long track record advising clients across most other sectors including retail, consumer, gaming, property, healthcare, education and financial services sectors. Regardless of the sector, our focus on our four core principles remains the same.
